Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., Impact Observatory is a mission-driven company that brings AI-powered algorithms and on-demand data to sustainability and environmental risk analysis for governments, industries, and markets. Impact Observatory empowers decision-makers with the timely, actionable, science-based geospatial insights they need to succeed.
Impact Observatory’s products quantify climate risk, global carbon, and species biodiversity, and we’ve developed best-in-class, global Land Use Land Cover (LULC) mapping and change monitoring. Our engineers work in a variety of settings to build systems that collect, manage, and convert raw geospatial data and satellite imagery into usable information for machine learning scientists and data scientists to use and interpret. They develop and maintain cloud infrastructure and automated data processing pipelines that deploy machine learning and remote sensing science models to satellite imagery time series from local to global scale, and develop geospatial data systems for automated monitoring and reporting used by decision makers in businesses, markets, and governments.
We are seeking a smart, energetic, and results-oriented Software Engineer, who will be a key player on our Engineering team.
